Raw component cost for boards in this family sits in the low hundreds of dollars (€300–€400 range). The retail markup is steep; we state that plainly here. What It’s Marketed For
The EPX is marketed, like all other Nelson hardware, as a biofeedback / stress-analysis system covering the same broad protocol categories as other Nelson-line devices — general stress reduction, energetic balancing, and practitioner-guided frequency sessions that are heavy on Windows computer literacy. These are manufacturer- and practitioner-reported uses.

Software is functionally a rebrand of PULSAR (the same lineage used on Nucleus and other post-Clasp devices as well as the LIFE devices spun off by an ex-wife of the original inventor). The primary remaining broker associated with this line has been Rita Nemenyi the widow of the original inventor / Mind NRG (originally built by Gage Tarrant). Marketing continues to present the hardware as “new technology” despite the underlying architecture being more than two decades old.

Operator Verdict
The underlying technology has real utility, but the EPX specifically is a high price tag on hardware that is materially identical to cheaper devices in the same family. If you already own compatible legacy hardware, paying EPX prices for a cosmetic refresh does not make sense. ⚠️
